Are you attending the Derby, going on a Safari, or Luxury Ski Adventure? Are you looking for a Kentucky experience for a large group and would like custom hats? Why not collaborate with the "Official Milliner" of the Kentucky Derby Museum, Jenny Pfanenstiel. She can work through your event planner, or directly with your attendees to create a custom hat experience like no other. Options can include: Custom hat shapes and styles, custom hat colors to coordinate with a specific outfit for an event, or company colors. Painting by local illustrator of each custom hat for each individual. Custom bow ties and/or pocket squares for the gentlemen. Hat "Reveal Celebration" for the attendees at your location, or the Formé Millinery Hat Shop.
Due to the planning and the time involved in making each hat, we suggest contacting us during the beginning stages of planning your event. This will allow the appropriate time to create a memorable hat experience for all attendees.
Jenny will discuss how she got started in the hat business, the different millinery materials and vintage machines she uses, and her hat blocks (some dating back 100 years). Jenny will talk about the relationship of hats and the Derby and the proper way of wearing different types of hats. She will bring onsite the raw materials, hat blocks, and hats for attendees to be able to see up close.
Presentation is approximately 30-40 minutes. Can customize content discussed. Power Point available.
Optional: Fashion Show of hats.
